About Katie
She was inspired by art and architecture in 2002. She loves the pasta of all kinds. She has been learning the language, many times over. And now she is expressing all of her endeavors on paper.
Katie started her first blog in 2006. Since then she has met many friends throughout the world. These friends have pushed her to do what her heart desires to accomplish in this life. She has collected all her adventures of traveling, life and is now a freelance travel writer.
She started writing at a young age dabbling her fingers in the art of poetry. Katie loved to write stories as a young girl as well. Since living in Florence many times in the past 6 years, she is drawn to the attracting landscapes and influences of Dante's birthplace. Living as a student, a tourist, and finally this past year as an au pair, Katie is anxious to tackle the next challenge and passion, writing.

- Her Nonna was born in the town of Farneta, outside Modena,Italy. Yes, she does, in fact, have Italian blood.
